Have you always wanted to learn a specific sewing technique or make an textile item but never quite knew how? Or perhaps you want to have a go on a sewing machine before you commit to buying one? Holly can help.
As well as over 10 years sewing experience Holly also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Textiles. Holly successfully runs her online business and has customers all over the world and has featured in national home interior magazines. Her workshop in based in the Gordano Valley, Clevedon, BS21 where she runs sewing workshops for all ages including children 8+ with a parent/carer.
These workshops also make a great gift for someone itching to be creative. Workshop vouchers available. Holly's workshop is based in Clevedon on the south coast.

Holly teaches most Monday/Friday/Saturday/Sundays with morning/afternoon/after school availability. All workshops are 1-1 or with a maximum of 3 people (if that's what you book) at any one time which means you will get the most out of your workshop and be free to ask any questions.
Beginner - basics and appliqué 2 hours £45 pp includes all materials. A sewing machine can be provided. You will learn the basics of your machine, how to control the machine and how to appliqué using fabric and stitch and will leave with samples, a personalised handout and plenty of enthusiasm to start your sewing journey! Plus you'll go away with a kit that includes fabric and materials for you to continue what you practised in your lesson.
Free motion embroidery - 2.5 hours £55 pp
During this workshop you will learn free motion embroidery on your sewing machine. Holly will take you through each step and you will leave your workshop with lots of samples, a personalised handout and the beginnings of a product you have made using the technique. This technique is one that Holly specialises in so she has a wide knowledge surrounding this technique.
Custom - £20 per hour plus materials. If you have a pattern/dressmaking pattern you don’t quite understand or would like some help and guidance with something you’re making just let her know!
Pick a product workshop - 2 hours £35 pp. Includes all fabric, instructions and pattern pieces to take away.
Suitable for a beginners and confident beginners. During these workshops you are not shown through a sewing machine in depth, if you'd like this, please book the beginner basic lesson firstly.

Dressmaking Workshops
Girls summer dress
3.5hours. £55 includes all 1-1 tuition, own pattern piece to take away and the instructions emailed over once your workshop is finished. Please provide your own fabric, type of fabric and how much will be advised when booking. Pattern goes from ages 6 months - 4 years old
You will learn how to follow a commercial pattern piece, how to pattern cut, understand the different terms and techniques, button holes, hemming, seams and so much more!
Unisex Jersey Romper
3.5 hours. £55 includes all 1-1 tuition, own pattern piece to take away and the instructions emailed over once your workshop is finished. Please provide your own fabric, type of fabric and how much will be advised when booking. Pattern goes from 6 months - 6 years.
You will learn how to work with stretch fabrics to make a reversible romper. This make is suitable for confident beginners.
Children's Elasticated Skirt
2.5 hours. £38 includes all tuition (can be taught with 3 max or 1-1) your own pattern piece to take away. Please provide your own fabric for this, type of fabric and how much will be advised when booking.
Pattern goes from 1 year - 10 years.
This dressmaking lesson is suitable for children to make for themselves. You will learn how to create french seams in the sides of your skirt and how to hem and elasticate a skirt fitted to you.
