Workshops with Holly
Have you always wanted to learn a specific technique or to make an textile item on a sewing machine but never quite knew how? Or perhaps you want to have a go on a sewing before you commit to buying one? Holly can help .
As well as 10 years sewing experience Holly also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Textiles. Holly successfully runs her online business and has customers all over the world and has featured in national home interior magazines. Her workshop in based in the Gordano Valley, Clevedon, BS21 where she runs sewing workshops for all ages including children 8+ with a parent/carer.
These workshops also make a great gift for someone itching to be creative. Workshop vouchers available. The workshop is based outside of Clevedon on the south coast.
All workshops are fitted around you. Let Holly know when you would like to book in. Weekday/weekend/evenings, Holly is flexible with this. All workshops are 1-1 or with a maximum of 3 people at any one time which means you will get the most out of your workshop and be free to ask any questions at any time.
Beginner - basics and appliqué 2 hours for £22 for one person (£15 extra per person - 2 extras max) includes all materials. Sewing machines can be provided. You will learn the basics of your machine, how to control the machine and how to appliqué using fabric and stitch and will leave with samples, a personalised handout and plenty of enthusiasm to start your sewing journey!
Free motion embroidery - 3 hours £35 for 1 (£25 each 2-3 people)
During this workshop you will learn free motion embroidery on your sewing machine. Holly will take you through each step and you will leave your workshop with lots of samples, a personalised handout and a product you have made using the technique. This technique is one that Holly specialises in so she has a wide knowledge surrounding this technique.

Simple Dressmaking Workshops
Girls summer dress (ages 6months-4years old) please allow 3hr 30mins max. £55 includes all fabric and your very own pattern piece £50 if you supply your own fabric.
You will learn how to follow a commercial pattern piece, how to pattern cut, understand the different terms and techniques, button holes, hemming, seams and so much more! All sessions are 1-1 to insure you get the most out of it and are able to ask questions and have my help and guidance throughout. By the end of your workshop you will go away with a finished dress, pattern pieces and step by step instructions so you can go away and make again!
Bloomers (newborn-24months) please allow 2hr 30mins max. includes fabrics and your very own pattern piece £40. £35 if you supply your own fabric.
You will learn how to pattern cut, how to create a casing and use elastic within clothing. You will go away with a finished pair of bloomers, pattern pieces and step by step instructions so you can make more. All sessions are 1-1 to insure you get the most out of it and are able to ask questions and have my help and guidance throughout.
Jersey Romper (unisex 6months-6 years) please allow 3hours 30mins max. £55 includes all fabrics and your very own pattern piece. Fabric choice limited due to being jersey fabrics - happy to advise so you can bring your own fabrics £50 if you supply your own.
You will learn how to work with stretch fabrics to make a reversible romper. This make is not suitable for complete beginners. Taught 1-1 so you will get the most out of your session and you are welcome to ask questions throughout.
